I have not heard this yet because I’m not paying $13.99 for it. Why have Amazon and iTunes jacked up the price? People are paying $9.99; for $13.99 people will just steal it. Stupid.

This third installment of music from Glee just didn’t impress me like the first two albums did. Based on the song selection I was expecting a lot more from these songs. Often the songs on the first two albums just blew me away, and often blew away the orginal recording of the song. On this album, there were a lot of good songs, but the Glee cast didn’t sing them in a way that showed how good the songs were. For example, Poker Face was a big song last year and Lady Gaga really sang it well. Lea Michele should have hit this one out of the park, but they had her do a very toned down soulful version of the song, and it just didn’t work. We have great songs and great singers, so the problem with this album belongs to the producers. They wasted the talent they had. I have listened to the first to albums repeatedly, but I was skipping through the songs on this one as I searched for something that would please me. Unfortunately, I don’t think I found one song that I will add to my favorites. It is a shame that I can’t recommend this album to you.

I like this album too. I only wish there were more of Lea Michele. She has a stunningly beautiful voice, one which I can listen to over and over. Her duet with Idina Menzel in I Dream a Dream was my favorite. Total Eclipse of the Heart was nice too.

This was an excellent combination of the music heard during the first season of Glee and hopefully there will be many more from this multitalented cast.
